Abstract

A mobile phone is inimical to a child’s development as it diverts a child’s curiosity and the use of interactive screen time on such devices could also impair a child’s skill progress. More than half of children under the age of 11 years now own a smartphone. As a solution, parents and researchers have begun exploring the positive and negative effects of smartphones on child’s development. Powerful, digital literacy and access to emergency services is a positive impact and a negative impact, the behavioral outcome of mobile phone dependency in children has received the attention of highbrows across the world.
