Abstract

It has long been known that there is a dynamic relationship between the patient and quality of care provided by staff nurses. The aim of the study is to assessment of registered nurses’ knowledge and attitude regarding the care of sickle cell disease. Total no of sample taken are 100 samples. Samples that met the inclusion criteria were used in the study. Tools such as the socio-demographic self-instruction Performa were used to collect socio-demographic data. A five-point rating scale was used to evaluate the attitude of staff nurses to patient care. The outcome of the study showed that, The study was limited to only in IMS and SUM Bhubaneswar hospital that were available at the time of data collection. The study has a wide range of implications for nursing education, practice, and research. Further studies can be performed with a large sample of different sample groups with different hospital services.
