Abstract

One of the crucial needs felt by adolescent girls is based on their sense of insufficient knowledge. Hence the investigator took up A Study to Assess the Knowledge Regarding Natural Remedies on Dysmenorrhea among Adolescent Girls with the objectives.1. To assess the knowledge regarding natural remedies on Dysmenorrhea among adolescent girls in the experimental and control groups during pre-test and post-test. 2. To compare the pre and post-test knowledge regarding natural remedies on dysmenorrhea among adolescents girls in the experimental group. 3. To compare the post-test knowledge regarding natural remedies on dysmenorrhea between experimental and control group. 4.To find out the association between post-test knowledge regarding natural remedies on dysmenorrhea the selected demographic variables in the experimental group and the methodology of this study was quasi-experimental pretest, posttest, control group design. A total of 60 adolescent girls were selected by using the nonprobability convenience sampling technique, the data obtained were analyzed and interpreted in terms of objectives and hypothesis of the study. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The Results were found The mean pre-test knowledge score 10.03-2.266 (m+/- SD) was less than the post-test knowledge score 20.50-4.3.95(m+/- SD) ‘+’ value computed between the pre-test and post-test score was statistically significant at 5% level (+ =2.18, df =29) there is no association between the knowledge score of adolescent girls on natural remedies on dysmenorrhea with their selected demographic variables.
