Menstrual Cup: Awareness Among Reproductive Women in Selected Rural Areas of Chamarajanagara District

Background: The menstrual cup is a technologically advanced alternative to sanitary napkins. As a result, in this present observation the understanding and exercises of menstrual cups amongst rural reproductive women have been evaluated. Objectives: To assess knowledge regarding menstrual cups among reproductive women in selected rural areas of Chamarajanagara district. Method: The study was conducted in selected rural areas of Chamarajanagar district. A convenient sample technique was used and 90 reproductive women between the age group of 18-45 years were selected for the study. A quantitative research approach with a descriptive research design was used in the study and the data was obtained by Questionnaires consisting of multiple- choice questions on menstrual cups. Result: Among 90 Respondents only a few Respondents that are 09(10%) are familiar with the menstrual cup and the majority of the Respondents that is 81(90%) were not familiar with the menstrual cup and no one is using the menstrual cup. Conclusion: Here by using our study conclude that understanding and exercise of reproductive women concerning menstrual cups may be very negative.
