Abstract

The usage of botanicals has grown in popularity due to its natural origins and strong medicinal value. The numerous species of Cassia have several unique phytoceuticals that have shown many pharmacological actions such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antidiabetic, and so on, all of which are helpful to human health. The review focuses on the morphological description and pharmacological value of numerous Cassia species, with a particular emphasis on C. sophera, C. tora, C. occidentalis, C. fistula, and C. auriculata, which will provide information for the development of novel herbal medications.
