During diagnosis, prevention, and treatment, medical and biological waste is produced. The most prevalent sources of such trash are hospitals, health clinics, nursing homes, medical research laboratories, veterinarian clinics, dentistry clinics, home health care, and funeral homes. Medical waste or clinical waste is referred to as trash at medical facilities. Chemical waste, radioactive waste, and industrial waste are not hazardous waste types like medical trash. Medical facilities generate hazardous waste, both chemical and radioactive. While some of these pollutants are not contagious, they must be disposed of properly. Some wastes, such as formalin-preserved tissue samples, are twice as dangerous.
