Remote sensing techniques and applications represent modern technologies in recent decades. Remote sensing is considered one of the advanced methods and methods for obtaining and recording information, and its beginning was based on the naked eye, and then evolved into its dependence on air platforms that extract information from its sources and that was Simultaneous with the emergence of the property of controlling and processing optical images, relying entirely on the presence of chemical compounds that are sensitive to light. It is a technique based on polarizing and extracting data and information from its sources, from very long distances, by taking a picture from a great distance from above, and by using the devices used to record the electromagnetic rays that the surface of the Earth reflects and sends. This science aims to provide man with information that gives him the ability to study the surface of the Earth and its forms, and it provides the digital aerial images that satellites capture, rich in information, data, and weather observations, and works to provide the ground station with the information it has attracted. The importance of remote sensing also lies in studying changing phenomena such as floods and traffic, these phenomena are difficult to observe directly with the human eye due to their rapid change, and recording them in an aerial image helps to study them as well as a permanent recording of phenomena so that they can be studied at any time later. This allows for temporal comparisons to be made by studying a set of images taken at different times for the same place.
