Abstract

This research work emphasizes on performance and emission evaluation of CI engine using palm biodiesel. The concentration of palm biodiesel used in the test was ranged from B0 (100% diesel), B20, B40, B60, B80 and B100 (100% biodiesel). The engine performance was evaluated through power and specific fuel consumption, while the emission was evaluated through Smoke density and Nitrogen oxide (NOx) pollutants. The result indicates that addition of palm biodiesel can reduce the emissions as well as increases the power of the engine
