The backbone of the global economy is the agricultural sector, which is also one of the most significant employment-producing sectors in India. Over 151 million people depend on the agriculture industry for their livelihood, which also accounts for roughly 18 per cent of India's GDP. Because farmers in India lack access to contemporary manual irrigation techniques, agriculture is reliant on the monsoon season. They continue to irrigate their crops with the monsoon rains. According to the World Bank, just 35% of India's agricultural land is irrigated, with the remaining 65% reliant on rainfall. Agricultural diversity is made possible by irrigation, which also boosts agricultural output. Farmers currently find it very difficult to buy conventional energy sources due to the increase in cost. Farmers might decrease their reliance on conventional energy sources by using Solar Water Pumps. There are several uses for Solar Photovoltaic Energy in agriculture. This paper describes and presents reviews of the Solar Water Pumping System. One of the greatest alternative techniques for irrigation is a solar water pumping system. Therefore, a sustainable method to increase water usage effectiveness in agricultural areas utilizing a renewable energy system is solar water pumping irrigation system.
