The Effectiveness of Agricultural Market of Green Beans to the Local Farmers of Barangay Luyos, San Antonio, Nueva Ecija

The agricultural market of green beans is one of the primary sources of income for farmers. In terms of selling their green beans, they have their resellers for their harvested vegetables. The study was carried out in Barangay Luyos, San Antonio Nueva Ecija to study the effectiveness of the agricultural market of green beans in this barangay. A total of 5 green bean farmers were interviewed. This study used percentage and frequency distribution tools for the interpretation of data. Descriptive statistics were utilized to examine the green beans production data. The lack of high-tech materials and the farm size of the green beans are only 1 - 5 plastids and they used deep wells as their water supply for the green beans. The main problem that farmers stated in producing green beans is that the farmers are experiencing a shortage of supply that causes some problems, plus not all the farmers have their storage facilities for their harvested vegetables, also they are experiencing spoilage of the vegetable. In addition, the usage of print and social media advertisements that can give awareness to the market for the availability of the product can boost sales. As regards, reaching more customers, the addition of more customers within the municipality can raise the sales and awareness of the business.
