Avoiding Wastage & Saving of Electrical Energy by Using PIR Sensor

Abstract

The unnecessary use of electricity has increased in recent years. 5%-10% of electricity is wasted every month, we must care about the use of electrical energy to overcome this problem in this project PIR based home automation system was designed to save power consumption and avoid waste of power which saves the power consumption. PIR sensors are used in many applications PIR sensors detect the percentage of humans and animals from the heat radiated by their bodies. Based on the characterization of PIR sensors analog data, as well as simply binary decisions, can be obtained. Controlling of the PIR sensors based on the presence of the user is done by using Arduino. The Arduino IDE software is used for Arduino programming. In addition to this one of the renewable energy sources, solar energy (PV cell) is used for powering the entire project.
