Abstract

In the preceding thirty years, electricity output from conventional energy sources has grown, with wind energy being the most extensively used source when solar energy is absent. The primary benefits of using wind as an energy source include less fossil fuel use, lower energy production costs, As a result, there will be fewer greenhouse gas emissions, and the energy will be clean and natural. Due of the wide range of wind speeds found in nature, integrating wind energy into a power system presents a number of technological issues, such as assuring the security, dependability, availability, and quality of the electricity provided, whether to the load centre or to the grid The STATCOM circuit model was employed in this work to improve power quality in grid-connected wind systems, and the results were confirmed with it.
