Abstract

This review conversed about generating electricity from primary energy sources is the first stage in the process of delivering electricity to consumers followed by transmission, distribution, storage and recovery of electricity. It is an economic field in which electricity companies trade. The basic principles of electricity generation were discovered during the 1920s and early 1930s by British scientist Michael Faraday. His basic approach to generating electricity is still in use today, electricity is generated by moving a knot (loop) of wire or a copper disk between the poles of a magnet. Electricity is often generated in a power plant by electromechanical generators. It is primarily marketed by heat engines that are fueled by chemical combustion processes or nuclear fission, but it may also be propelled by other means of generating electrical energy such as the kinetic energy of flowing water and wind. Other energy sources include solar photovoltaic and geothermal energy.
