Coatings based on admixed nanoparticles protect corrosion of various metals and alloys. These coatings have been conferred as zeolite coatings, epoxy coatings, self-cleaning paints and antimicrobial corrosion coatings. Corrosion protection efficiency of these conventional coatings have enhanced after incorporation of nanoparticles into these coatings. Shrink in matter at molecular level has formed denser product after addition of nanoparticles into paint and coating, henceforth improved appearance and usefulness. Formulation of paints has linked state-of-the-art purpose specific issues to scheme remains of technical art, where appearance and appliance of nanomaterials have brought new opportunities to the coat industry. Addition of nano-materials to coatings improved properties of conventional coatings and produced new multi-functional coating due to their tiny particle size
