It can be seen from birth, but a diagnosis is often not made until later in life. The first symptoms usually develop during the first year of life, with the others emerging between the ages of 1 and 6. Warning signs such as Constant hunger, a constant search for food, and, in most cases, rapid weight gain are other warning signs. Other signs are usually present, and most children who display these behaviours do not have PWS. PWD does not have a cure. There are several treatments available to alleviate the symptoms of the condition. Treatment can help you get better results, especially if you start early. If those who maintain a healthy weight, everyone’s life expectancy may increase or return to normal, whereas if those who don't, obesity and diabetes will become more common. Throughout their lives, most people with PWS require supervision and specialized care. PWS is a chromosomal disorder in which a person can't control their appetite, has delayed growth, and has poor cognitive development, among other symptoms. Misophonia means “hatred of sound", was suggested in the year 2000 which explains the condition in which emotions, negative thoughts, and physical reactions are set off by specific sounds. It is not unexpected for people to occasionally be annoyed by some normal routine daily sounds. But for individuals with Misophonia, the sound of someone chewing, drinking water sound, making any other little sound can make them want to scream, get annoyed, angry. These reactions which are physical and emotional, which are ordinary sounds, are alike to the "fight or flight" response which may lead to panic, anxiety, and rage.</p> 2021-08-14T00:00:00+0530 Copyright (c) 2021 Journal of Counselling and Family Therapy (e-ISSN: 2582-1482) http://matjournals.co.in/index.php/JCFT/article/view/4797 A Study to Assess the Knowledge Regarding Covid-19 among People Residing in Vaniyamkulam Panchayath 2024-02-06T14:32:04+0530 Remya Ramachandran mya.remya@gmail.com <p>A disease is a particular abnormal condition that negatively affects the structure or function of all or part of an organism, and that is not due to any immediate external injury.
