These contrast with benign tumors, which do not spread. It is noted that among chemotherapeutic side effects’ the most distressful events are nausea, vomiting and retching. In such cases, alternative therapy like p6 acupressure plays a vital role. Therefore, a study was done to evaluate the effectiveness of acupressure on nausea, vomiting and retching among cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. An evaluative approach with quasi experimental nonrandomized control group design was used for the study. 40 cancer patients (20 subjects both in experimental and control group) were selected from hospitals of Indore by non-probability convenient sampling technique. A Standardized Rhodes Index of Nausea, Vomiting and Retching scale was used to collect the data. On day 2nd, the pretest was given by using structured Rhodes index of nausea, vomiting and retching scale. Posttest was conducted on the 5th day by using the same tool. There was statistically significant difference seen in the posttest mean scores of nausea, vomiting and retching between the Experimental and the Control Groups, with a lower mean score of nausea, vomiting and retching in the Experimental Group. The findings of the study proved that the intervention ‘Acupressure’ was successful in reducing the score of nausea, vomiting and retching in the Experimental Group of patients.</p> Kapil Sharma Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Counselling and Family Therapy (e-ISSN: 2582-1482) http://matjournals.co.in/index.php/JCFT/article/view/4868 Fri, 26 Apr 2024 00:00:00 +0530 Problems Militating against Organization and Administration of Guidance and Counselling Services in Awka Education Zone, Anambra Nigeria http://matjournals.co.in/index.php/JCFT/article/view/4869 <p>This research work is on Problems in Organization and Administration of Guidance and Counselling Services among Counsellors in Awka Educational Zone. The quote fits in Nursing profession too despite shortage of resources sometimes in the community the nurse continues to care within the available resources leaving an aroma of care around the patient, a nurse is always surrounded by every team member whether a doctor, technician, counselor, pharmacist or any other for resource management and nurse is always a symbolic example of team coordination as she is having a quality of pro social behavior so she always thinks of benefiting others that is the main reason for being a central member in team work. The tendency of nurse to offer greater aid when a specific, identifiable person is observed under hardship is also an outstanding example of caring attitude of nurse towards her patient.</p> Joziea Farooq Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Counselling and Family Therapy (e-ISSN: 2582-1482) http://matjournals.co.in/index.php/JCFT/article/view/4873 Sat, 01 May 2021 00:00:00 +0530 Quality Services and Kindness in Covid Patients http://matjournals.co.in/index.php/JCFT/article/view/4874 <p>COVID-19 creating a pandemic to the global system which can affect the day to day living pattern of each individual in the world.
