Abstract

Cryptography describes the various
techniques used to ensure that
communication between two parties is secure,
especially if there is a third party. This work
is done using two algorithms, namely
symmetric and asymmetric algorithms but
the most popular and widely used is the RSA
algorithm which is an asymmetric
cryptographic algorithm. It consists of three
steps, namely the key production step, the
encryption step, and the encryption removal
step. The advancements in computer
technology, makes RSA prone to certain
security risks. This makes the algorithm less
secure. In this research we have proposed an
alternative approach which can improve the
RSA algorithm. Also the algorithm increases
the security between communications. The
proposed algorithm uses four large numbers.
It also increases the complexity of the
traditional existing RSA algorithm which is
based on only two large numbers. The
proposed algorithm takes more time for
encoding and decoding than the existing
algorithm. So the system is very secure and
does not break easily.
