Attacks on Cyber Security and its Mitigation
Keywords:

Cyber-attacks become very widespread in this
age of the internet. As each year goes by,
both the number of cybercrimes and the
harm they inflict rise. In today's digital age,
providing security against cyber-attacks is
crucial. As a result of the rise in cyber-attacks
in the modern era, numerous governments
and independent businesses are taking steps
to limit these cyber-attacks. The significance
of cyber security and the many kinds of
cyber-attacks occurring in the contemporary
digital era will be covered in this essay. We
will also emphasize the various methods for
identifying these cyber threats and countering
them. The energy grid is being modernized
with networked metrology and controls that
can improve efficiency and provide fresh
approaches to system management. Despite
the various benefits of these technologies, they
also provide new categories of risk, most
notably new attack vectors that can be
utilised in cyber-attacks. To recognise and
address hazards in these kinds of cyberphysical systems, the system designer's toolset
must include concepts from cyber security,
dependability, and fault tolerance design that
have been merged into a common approach.
In this article, we explore the dispersed body
of research on the possibility of cyber-attacks
on smart metering systems, and then we
organize and synthesize the findings using
ideas from systems engineering and fault
tolerance design.
