Abstract

Encryption is one of the finest ways to protect
the privacy and security of data. Using
encryption techniques, the original data's
information is obscured such that the original
data can only be retrieved via a decryption
key. Data is protected via encryption from
unauthorized access, which could result in
data viewing or alteration. To implement
encryption, mathematical procedures,
replacement methods, or shifting methods can
all be employed. Many symmetric key base
methods were developed over the previous
year. The paper suggests a reliable and
efficient based on symmetric keys method for
encrypting and decrypting text data. The
method produces the following using an 8-bit
code value for the alphabet and several basic
mathematical operations including binary
division and logical NOT. The suggested
strategy is easy to understand and put into
practice. We provide a quick and secure
encryption technique in this study that makes
use of replacement mapping, translation, and
transposition operations. There are two
benefits to the suggested symmetric
encryption method over conventional ones.
First off, the encryption and decryption
processes are a lot faster since they are
considerably simpler. Second, the security
level is higher as a result of the algorithm's
translation and transposition operations as
well as the substitution mapping method's
inherent poly-alphabetic nature. This study
compares performance with standard
encryption methods and explains the
encryption and decryption procedures.
