Abstract

The LGBTQ+ community in Northeastern Thailand, often known as Isan, faces distinct issues in terms of the sexual and reproductive health of Blued users. The purpose of this study is to investigate the sexual and reproductive health difficulties experienced by the gay population in Isan and to identify opportunities to overcome these challenges. A literature evaluation was carried out to check the existing research on this topic to acquire access to good healthcare from the Thai government. In addition, interviews with LGBTQ+ individuals in Isan who use the Gay dating app (BLUED) application that accesses health in public and private spaces were done to get insight into the problems and potential for enhancing queer health and sexual health in Isan. The findings highlight the need to improve access to health services, education and training for health service providers, and efforts to reduce discrimination and stigma.
