Becoming mother is an important stage in every woman’s life. In addition to the time of expectancy and the actual delivery, the period immediately following child birth forms an integral part of the process. In the present study an evaluative approach with a preexperimental, one group pre-test and post-test design was used to accomplish the objectives. The sample consisted of 50 primi post-natal mothers. Purposive sampling was done to select the samples from the selected Hospital Gujarat. The data was analysed by descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that mean post-test knowledge score (29.5) was higher than the mean pre-test knowledge score (15.75). The calculated ‘t’ value is greater than the table value, which shows the significant difference between pre-test and post-test knowledge score.
