Abstract

Binary addition is the simplest basic computational operation seen in digital systems. Binary adders made up of half adders and full adders are very much necessary to execute this process. In the design of a CPU, the full adder is crucial. The speed of operation becomes a significant point as the circuit complexity grows. The design of high-speed adder circuits using the Gate Diffusion Input (GDI) Technique and a comparison of Ripple Carry Adders using CMOS and GDI techniques are discussed in this study. This technique will reduce power consumption, digital circuit area, and propagation delay while keeping logic design complexity low.
