Smangler Boat: A Lifesaver for Fishermen

Abstract

The developed system is inorder to save and warn the fisherman when they cross the international sea border. The main part of the system is the arduino mega. The system uses GPS which helps to provide the current coordinates of the boat. The main international border which is defined is provided in the SD card. A speaker or buzzer is used to provide the alert message to fishermen when the respected zones are crossed. L293D motor driver is used to control the speed of the boat whenever a border is crossed. An alert message is also provided to the fishermen through a Wifi module. Still if the boat crosses the restricted zone, the system provided, captures an image of the boat along with the details of the fishermen and sent it to the coastal guard through ZigBee.
