Distribution Line Fault Detection and Alert System

Abstract

Safety of human life is of paramount importance. Many times, we read in newspapers about the accidents caused by the broken distribution/service lines which may even cause fatal accidents to human beings and animals. Also, accidents due to distribution line breakage are increasing nowadays because of the unawareness of the breakage taking place. In this paper we aim at detecting the fault in the distribution line using proper detection methods and protection using effective warning system. Matlab Simulink and code composer studio is used to find the standard values and to code into C2000 microcontroller. Warning systems is provided to reduce accidents.
