Abstract

The global economy as well as Bangladesh is suffering from Covid-19 pandemic and its effects on macroeconomic sectors are quite uncertain. Bangladesh is on the graduation stage from the least developed country (LDC) where investment as well as Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) plays a vital role. The paper tries to find out the effects of Covid-19 pandemic on FDI in Bangladesh. By analyzing the trends of FDI over the months from 2019 to 2020, different sectors and countries of FDI, it is concluded that Covid-19 negatively affected FDI inflows in Bangladesh.
