Presently, over 60% of global reserves are contributed by 49 Asian nations, a trend that has attracted the attention of international policymakers. This phenomenon, however, continues to be a topic of extensive deliberation among researchers, a subject that this paper delves into. Through empirical analysis using an unbalanced panel of these 49 Asian countries spanning from 1999 to 2021, this study confirms that the primary driver behind this substantial reserve accumulation is a precautionary motive. These Asian economies maintain reserves as a protective measure against transient external imbalances and uncertainties in their balance of payments. Contrary to prevailing notions, the paper dispels the notion that reserve accumulation is significantly impacted by export or GDP growth; instead, it indicates a certain influence from exchange rate stability.
2023-09-14T00:00:00+0530 Copyright (c) 2023 Innovation in Economy & Policy Research http://matjournals.co.in/index.php/JEPR/article/view/4582 Effect of Market Segmentation on Organization Performance: A Case Study of Jambo Group Companies, Shinyanga – Tanzania 2023-12-06T09:57:40+0530 Medard Wilfred Kushiling’wa wilfredmedard2005@gmail.com Gerry Batonda wilfredmedard2005@gmail.com
The study looked at the impact of market segmentation on organisational performance using Jambo Group companies in Tanzania's Shinyanga region. Marketing segmentation is said to be a strong marketing strategy for assisting an organization's performance toward achieving its targeted goals. For that reason, the study established three specific objectives, which were: to determine the effect of behavioural market segmentation on organisation performance; to evaluate the effect of demographic market segmentation on organisation performance in terms of sales and to evaluate the effect of psychographic market segmentation on organisational performance. The study was guided by two theories: Abram Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Theory, and Market Segmentation Theory. The study employed a qualitative research approach and a case study design, whereby Jambo Group companies in the Shinyanga region were referred to as the case study area. Purposive sampling was applied to select respondents, whereby a total of eight respondents from marketing, sales, and distribution units from three districts in the Shinyanga region were interviewed using a semi-structured interview. The data collected were transcribed, coded, and analysed into themes. The findings of the study revealed that behavioural market segmentation had a great influence on organisation performance, whereby three elements of behavioural market segmentation emerged to have an influence, namely, customer loyalty, user status, and usage rate. Furthermore, the study discovered that demographic market segmentation had an impact on organisational performance, with age, income, and gender emerging as elements of demographic market segmentation that influenced Jambo food product consumers. Finally, the study found that psychographic market segmentation influences consumers of Jambo food products through elements of personality, lifestyle, and social status.

Finally, the study recommends that behavioural, demographic and psychographic market segmentations are strong segmentation elements that improve an organisational performance.
2023-12-06T00:00:00+0530 Copyright (c) 2023 Innovation in Economy & Policy Research http://matjournals.co.in/index.php/JEPR/article/view/4468 Exchange Rate Forecasting in Bangladesh: ARIMA and VAR Models 2023-11-16T11:41:00+0530 Md. This study examined the impact of organizational norms on employee performance at TANESCO and assessed the influence of organizational values on the performance of TANESCO employees in Mwanza. Determine the extent to which organizational rules influence employee performance at TANESCO. Hall's High-context and Low-context cultures theory and Edgar Schein's theory of organizational culture were utilized by the researcher. In addition, the study employed a quantitative methodology and descriptive designs, with a sample size of 167 respondents. The researcher collected a total of 163 questionnaires from TANESCO in Mwanza, Tanzania. In this investigation, information was gathered via questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS Version 23. The researcher received 163 questionnaires that were filled out. Using the unstandardized Beta coefficient and Sig Values, the regression equation revealed that, if all other factors are held constant, each independent variable explains the dependent variable. Organization Rules (OR) explains 75% (.750) of employee performance with a significance level of.000. Additionally, Organization Norms (ON) explain 98 percent (0.98 percent) of employee performance with a significance level of 0.003. Lastly, Organization Values OV explained 70% (.701) of employee performance with a significance of 0.004. Consequently, the regression model effectively demonstrates a significant and positive relationship between independent variables and the dependent variable. The study recommended that despite the presence of an effective organizational culture, the management of TANESCO should opt to determine the effectiveness of other factors such as employee motivations and employee recognition based on the efforts they have demonstrated in implementing the company's mission and vision. This will aid in maintaining the organizational culture and simultaneously improve employee performance. The study also suggests that organizational culture should include employee benefits to improve the employee's perception of the company. Thus, TANESCO and their management must consider enhancing these factors to maximize the performance of their employees by enhancing the quality of service delivery while maintaining brand awareness among consumers.
2023-12-06T00:00:00+0530 Copyright (c) 2023 Innovation in Economy & Policy Research
