Abstract

Multiphase Machines with Indirect Rotor Flux Oriented Control (IRFOC) is a promising drive system for reliable electrical to mechanical power converters. Due to design simplicity and robustness fixed PID are used. Fixed PID controller has limitations due to variable system dynamics and model changes. By using hyperbolic tangent function auto-tuning neurons adjust a multi-variable PID. A single neuron adaptive PID used in this paper to overcome shortcoming of fixed PID. We studied the properties, the control law, control algorithm and the application condition. To finding a little overshoot, fast response and time variable response an adaptive PID controller with self-optimizing is used. The simulation results show that the single neuron adaptive PID controller good self- adaptation and better control precision.
