Abstract

In the contemporary business set up fluctuations are eminent this volatility is due information technolog, cutthroat competition exists in banking regime at local or global level in this regard banking segment should focus on developing information systmen in its working setup specially in field of accounting.  For their banking activites they should go for well and effective computerized accounting softwares so as to enhance quality of work and to meet their requirement. In this direction an attempt is made to determine the effect and advantages of computerized accounting sysytems in banking sector and its impact on banks performance. For collecting the data required for the study both primary and secondary sources used, sample of the study consists of bank employees and customers as their opinion also important factor is assessing computerized accounting and the collected data analyzed with statistical tools such as percentage analysis and tabular analysis. It found that both challenges and benefits are associated with computerized accounting in banking operations.
