A Review on the Recent Developments on Heat Exchanger Design Optimizations

Abstract

Heat exchangers are devices used extensively for transferring heat between a hot and a cold fluid. They come in all shapes and sizes for use in a variety of purposes, from industrial to domestic. The design of the heat exchangers is one of the keys to improving their efficiency, and a wide number of studies have been carried out on the design optimization, and efficiency enhancement of the heat exchangers. This paper covers a literature survey concerning such studies that have been carried out during the recent years.
