Abstract

Today is a challenging time for all of us as COVID-19 increases and affects many lives. As a result of the virus, people have to stay in home. Considering all the issues and the advancement in the information and communication technologies which have led to the emergence of the Internet of Things (IoT) and the trend in the healthcare department we adapted IOT in our project. IoT allows many devices, sensors to capture data and transmit through the internet, providing more data integration methods. IoT plays an important role in the world of emerging technologies such as communication, monitoring, recording and storage. By monitoring on a continual basis, aggregating and effectively analysing information can bring about a massive positive transformation in the field of healthcare. This project focuses on the development and implementation of an effective healthcare monitoring system based on IoT with an addition of position tracking system just in case if there is an emergency then we can take a quick action and reach the patient’s location easily. The proposed system checks some basic health parameters of the patients along with the location and the data is transmitted to a cloud platform. The data can be accessed anytime with the current status of the patient. In designing the system, security plays an important role. Wi-Fi module and Cloud platform handles the authentication and privacy of the patients.
