Abstract

The overall population of the world, and hence the number of automobiles, is rapidly increasing. As a result, the need for energy consumption is steadily increasing. As a result, there is a need to investigate the availability of energy from alternative sources. The rapid speed of change in the power industry places a high value on reliable networks and other sources of flexibility. India requires more flexibility in the functioning of its electricity system than nearly any other country on the planet. The authors used piezoelectric materials to develop alternative energy sources in this study. Piezoelectric technology is employed in the flooring near the traffic lights, where the electric energy created by vehicle pressure is recorded by floor sensors, turned into an electric charge by piezo transducers, and then stored and used as a power source. The piezoelectric panels will also be deployed on pedestrian walkways and zebra crossings, capturing a large amount of energy from pedestrian movement. In addition, a traffic flow-based real-time traffic light control algorithm is proposed. It monitors traffic with the use of cameras and sensors. These sensors collect data, which is then analyzed to enhance signal timing at a specific intersection. The sensing network can adapt to changing traffic density patterns and deliver real-time signals to the traffic controller or Command Center. You Only Look Once uses state-of-the-art, real-time object detection based on deep Convolutional Neural Networks (YOLO). This will aid in the reduction of the country's energy demand and the transition to alternative energy sources.
