Abstract

The main focus of our paper is to reduce human effort. Pedal power is used to reduce human power by using a slider-crank mechanism system. The slider-crank mechanism is commonly used in engine. It is an arrangement to convert straight motion to rotating motion. It comprises on a pedal-powered washing machine. In daily life, cloth washing is an essential activity in our life but it requires lots of human effort and labor costs. It is a time-consuming process in which a lot of human-effort has to be expended. Now a day’s numbers of variety of washing machines are available in the market and all these washing machines are driven by electric power. The electric washing machine operates on the idea of a turbulent flow where detergents are used around the cloth. In India, around 60% of the population lives with poor economic status and they can`t afford high-cost electric washing machine. This paper focuses on the introduction to the washing machine. It is also highlighted in the literature survey which covers the various application of human power.
