Design and Development Automated Irrigation System using Arduino Controller and Solar Energy

This paper presents a technique for irrigation system and saving energy. Using smart irrigation methods to manage the flow of water and saving time. The microcontroller is employed to regulate the full system with the assistance of codes install in it. The microcontroller is directly connected to the soil moisture sensor to require the digital input from sensor. Open-source software is employed to put in the code within the microcontroller. Software called Arduino IDE. The moisture level within the soil is measured by the sensor and counting on the signals (high or low) the entire system works. The proposed system was studied on various sorts of soils and different moisture levels present. The results show that the proposed system is saving electricity by using alternative energy because the power source. The proposed system may further be developed.
