Abstract

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory illness that affects a growing number of children and is caused by a combination of genetic predisposition and environmental factors. It is one of the most frequent chronic diseases in children. For the treatment of asthma, a large choice of medications is now accessible and choosing the best one is crucial. The current asthma treatment prescribing practice in tertiary care centers, according to this study, is not adequately reasonable. As a result, clinicians must be encouraged to follow asthma standards when treating asthmatic patients. The majority of patients are treated with a beta 2 agonist and glucocorticoids by inhalation. In this study, the majority of patients received combination therapy rather than individual therapy. Inhalation of the drug delivery is the most prevalent, followed by oral drug administration. A national asthma education campaign would be beneficial as a necessary step in improving asthma understanding and raising medical community awareness of current treatment practices. Judicious prescription of drugs not only improves the patient clinically but also removes the unnecessary burden.
