A Study on Brand Preference of Smart Phones with Special Reference to Coimbatore City

Mobile phones are one of the rapidly growing technologies in the world. The modern group can be termed as smart phone generation as they love too busy with their smartphone all the time and it became a very essential gadget in their lifecycle. So before selecting their instrument of passing time, they consumed a considerable quantity of time for choosing a smartphone, the modern age yet the rapid advancement and development of technology has further led to sustainable growth in the smartphone industry, with wide range of brands and models competing for consumer attention.
Today almost every person buys a smartphone irrespective of age difference i.e., 3-month-ld baby to 60-year-old senior citizen and usage of smartphone became boundary less as it’s wants increase day by day, as it became one of the basis necessity of people. The support of the Internet and a wide range of application software on mobile phones, mobiles have become an essential requirement for humans in almost every field, be it engineering, teaching, artist, medical, business as well as personal.
The preference for various brands generally based on cost and luxury wants so to get deeper knowledge about the preference of various want and need of customers on their smartphones this study has been made on the topic “A study on brand preference of smart phones with special reference to Coimbatore city”. To know the actual desire of people on the ground, statistical tools like Rank analysis, Percentage analysis have been used. It is concluded that the mobile phones are pre requisite and used by consumers.
