Very less chance to prevent disasters but we can prepare so that the effect of disaster on human loss could be reduced. Objectives: 1. to assess the level of knowledge of students on disaster of management before intervention, 2. to associate between the post test level of knowledge with their selected demographic variables. Methodology: Quantitative research approach and pre-experimental design was adopted for this study. The study was conducted in a selected school of Berhampur, Ganjam. 50 students were selected by using systematic random sampling technique. The tool used for the study has two sections. Section A demographic variable and sec B has Knowledge questions regarding disaster management to assess the knowledge of students. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyse the data and to test hypothesis. Results: The mean knowledge score was 8.52±2.55 during pretest whereas the mean posttest level of knowledge shows 26.16 ± 2.13. Further there is statistical significance difference between pre and post-test level of knowledge ( 't' value=42.375 with the p value=<0.05) indicates that video teaching was effective to improve the knowledge among the students. Conclusion: The above findings of the study concluded that there is improvement in the level of knowledge among the students and it proves that video teaching helps to gain knowledge among students on disaster management.
