DON’T WAIT FOR SOMEONE TO PROTECT YOU. PROTECT YOURSELF Standard precautions are meant to reduce the risk of transmission of blood borne & other pathogens from both recognized & unrecognized sources. To improve outcome of clients all health care personnel’s should be educated about standard precautions and trained in hand decontamination, appropriate use of personal protective equipment and safe disposals of clinical waste. They are the basic level of Infection control precautions which are to be used as a minimum in the care of all patients
