Abstract

Introduction: Nurses are one of the essential components of healthcare team, which provide continuous care to the needy. Thus, to maintain the quality of health care services, nurses should have adequate knowledge and skills. Thus, nursing students should have adequate study skills, so that quality of care can be provided later on. Aim: we have conducted this study to assess the study skills among the nursing students at Teerthanker Mahaveer College of nursing, TMU, Moradabad, UP. Methodology: A crosssectional descriptive study was conducted, 504 nursing students participated in the study with the help of convenient sampling. Denver congos study scale inventory (DCSSI) was used for the data collection. Data was collected using google form. Results: Inadequate study skills were found related to text book reading and time management while adequate study skills were observed related to taking, memory, test preparation and concentration. Conclusion: Thus, appropriate intervention and curriculum need to administer to improve the study skills among the nursing students.
