Latent Energy Storage for Water Heating Prototype for Domestic Application

Energy is an important aspect of our daily life.
The energy needs of the country are mainly
dependent on fossil fuels. The energy demand
increases steeply, and the utilization of
conventional fuels increases the adverse effects
on the climate. There is an urgent requirement
for managing the energy crisis as well as global
warming. The renewable energy sources are
encouraged in every potential country for various
domestic and industrial applications. Renewable
energy conversion is already gained momentum
and the installations have been increasing for the
past few decades. The continuing trend in
research and developments of renewable energy
technologies, cost effectiveness and market
dynamics reveals the awareness of the climate
change and associated impacts on the society. The
present work is an attempt to address the energy
crisis and efficient reservation and reuse of
thermal energy. Thermal energy storage is
essential in case of various storage application
such as heat water storage, High temperature
fluid storages. Hence, in this project and research
work, an attempt is taken to summarize and
investigate the heat recovery from thermal
storage incorporating with Phase Change
Material (PCMs).
