Autoimmune Acute Meningo Encephalitis: A Mysterious Brain Fever

Auto immune meningo encephalitis is a clinically identified group of brain disorders related to self-defense response causing brain dysfunction. Acute meningo encephalitis is a fatal neurological disorder that develops rapidly and turns to be a progressive encephalopathy caused by brain inflammation. The estimated incidence of this brain fever in developed countries is about 5–10 per 100 000 inhabitants per year and affects patients of all ages. This article describes this less common clinical presentation of brain infection and discuss the mechanisms underlying this case.
