Abstract

Hypertension in pregnancy (PIH) is the term used to describe high blood pressure i.e. measurement of the force against the walls of arteries. Normal blood pressure readings are usually given as two numbers i.e. 120 over 80 (120/80mmHg). 2 pregnancy induced hypertension can lead to foetal retardation, preeclampsia, damage organs, as well as several illnesses, such as renal failure (kidney failure), aneurysm, heart failure, stroke or heart attack., even many studies have investigated the impact and alternate remedy of this condition on the women’ daily lives in Karnataka’ population. The prevalence of PIH ranges from 20-40% in urban mothers and 12-17% among rural. Several medications are available to treat PIH. Hibiscus tea can lower Blood pressure as effectively as pharmaceutical drugs. A few cups of Hibiscus tea a day may reduce hypertension and offer health benefits for people at risk of developing morning sickness.
