To make judgments regarding patient care and determine the precise cost of treatment for the patient, evidence-based practice in nursing integrates the best available evidence, clinical competence, and patient's values and preferences. This improved patient outcomes. The study here aimed to assess the level of knowledge and utilization of evidence-based practice (EBP) from the perspective of a staff nurse. The study's objectives were to assess the knowledge level of staff nurses regarding evidence-based practice, estimate the utilization of evidence-based practice at an organizational level and individual level from the perspective of staff nurses, and find out the association of knowledge and utilization with selected demographic variables. A self-reported questionnaire with split sections that assessed knowledge, utilization (at the organizational and individual levels) and demographic variables was used. The design adopted was descriptive research design, which had a sample size of 100. The data were represented after statistical analysis. The findings showed that the nurse had outstanding EBP knowledge and usage. Previous EBP classes attended and organizations with EBP protocols were found to be significantly correlated.
