Abstract

Prosopagnosia is an impairment in the recognition or identification of faces including one's own face (self-recognition), while the other areas of visual processing (e.g., object discrimination) and intellectual functioning (e.g., decision making and problem solving) remain intact. Prosopagnosia is also known as 'Face blindness. Many people with Prosopagnosia aren't able to recognise their family members, friends or relatives. It often affects people from birth and it can have a severe impact on everyday life.
