To Develop and Evaluate Effectiveness of SOP’s on Control and Prevention of Nosocomial Infection in NICU at SDM Hospital, Sattur, Dharwad

Abstract

NICU is infection prone area in the hospital and prevention of nosocomial infection in the hospital especially in the ICU’S to reduce the further medical problem in the client. In the NIC’U goal is affected through good parentral training regarding care of newborn babies to reduce the hospitalization and promote the overall growth and development. There are several important technique to reduce the nosocomial infection in the hospital like adequate space between the client, well ventilation, adequate instruments to treat the babies, well trained nurses, implementation of infection control protocols. So to control the nosocomial infection nursing personal should make conscious effort to implement the aseptic methods in the NICU.
