Abstract

The diagnosis of a terminal illness is a traumatic event and patients and family members are often overwhelmed by their thoughts and fears. Counselling can provide emotional support and information they require. Helping the caregivers to identify the human resources to share their role enhances the quality of life of the terminally ill patients as well as the caregivers.
