Hand Washing-an Economical Way to Control Covid 19 and Other Communicable Infections

Abstract

Several communicable diseases can spread from a single infected host/carrier to a large population through a medium which carries the biological disease-causing agents such as Coronavirus, HIV, Hepatitis A and B, Ebola, Entero-virus D68, Hanta virus etc. These communicable infectious diseases can be prevented through precautionary measures like wearing mask, maintaining distance, avoiding crowd, personal hygiene, maintaining hand hygiene through handwashing. Hand washing plays an important role in prevention of several diseases including communicable one. Inculcating the habit of hand washing in your lifestyle you can promote a healthy lifestyle and contribute your living to the welfare of Nation. Disease prevention not only keep you physically healthy but also mentally well. As the disease alter your cognition also leading to frustration in most of the patients. Thus, handwashing is an economic way to get rid of many communicable diseases and induces a sense of well-being through fulfilling the hygienic needs of human- being.
