A Study to Assess The Effectiveness of Structured Teaching Programme on Knowledge Regarding Swachha Bharat Abhiyan Among Students of Ganpatrao Adke Institute of Nursing, Nashik

The study is undertaken to assess the knowledge regarding ‘Swacha Bharat Abhiyan’ among nursing student with aim to bring about awareness and cleanliness to prevent health problems. In this study one group pre- test – post-test quasi experimental design was used. The sample size is 40 students of selected colleges. Tool is questionnaire used for data collection. The research approach adopted for this study is evaluative approach. The study population consists of students in between age group of 18 to 30 years. Total 40 samples were selected using random sampling techniques for assessing the knowledge of students. Interpretation of the study showed that 40 students’ pre and post- test scored having 18-20 years age pre-test 9.12 mean and Post-test 11.92. 21-23 years age pre-test 8.00 mean and post-test is 12.00 and above 24 is pre- test 7.50 and post- test is 11.75 mean. In this overall study we observed pre and post-test overall mean report that is pre- test 8.67 and post-test 11.92 scores. This revealed that structured teaching programme was effective to provide knowledge regarding swachha bharat abhiyan among nursing students.
