Abstract

Drying of agriculture food products is the need and most of the cost effective application of solar energy. This review paper presents the various types of solar dryer namely direct solar dryer, indirect solar dryer and hybrid solar dryer, etc. and their applications are also represents. Result View Original This paper deals with a comprehensive review of the varied designs, constructions and operational principles of the big variety practically. Also the performance evaluation of solar dryers has also been reviewed. Solar Drying is not only a technology but it is process which gives us the product with better color, flavor and best nutrition value than traditional drying. This review paper focused here on different drying technologies with new innovations and new design of convection by considering specific local climate for development of perfectly marketable product to improve income. This paper is also focus on commercialization aspect of solar dryer for micro-enterprises, formers to improve the income in the rural areas.
