The aim of this paper is to highlight the performance analysis of LiBr-water based single effect solar vapor absorption air-conditioning system of 1 TR capacity and study the effect of different parameters such as generator temperature, generator heat, evaporator temperature, evaporator heat on the COP of the system. Before carrying out testing of the system the different components of the system are designed by considering the enthalpy values of the solutions at different points of the system. Design of solar flat plate collector is also carried out to determine its dimensions to get proper heat input to the system. The readings are taken on different days of year to study the variations of heat input from the solar energy. Adequate equations exist for the determination of the U-value. The effects of variation of COP with different operating parameters are studied.
