Abstract

Concrete is the most consumed material after
water in the whole world. Its usage indicates
economic growth rate, development in the
society and others. However, concrete is a man
made material that requires continuous
monitoring and effort to improve the properties.
All the major factors controlling concrete
properties are reviewed in this article. The
research findings related to the dominant
factors are critically examined and thoroughly
reviewed. It showed the knowledge gap between
what we know and all the parameters affecting
the common tests for fresh and hardened
concrete.
